Accessibility Statement for Dallas County Aging and Disability Resource Center

Dallas County Aging and Disability Resource Center is committed to making its website accessible to all users by adhering to Section 508 standards. Accessibility standards and have been integrated into the design of this program utilizing WebAIM Section 508 Checklist.

We have incorporated several features designed to improve accessibility, including:

  • Images on the site contain relevant "alt tags" which aid users of screen reading software
  • Non-HTML/PDF files are accompanied by links where users may download the latest free readers and viewers
  • Spanish translations are provided, when possible.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Dallas County Aging and Disability Resource Center is fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Fully conformant means that the content fully conforms to the accessibility standard without any exceptions.
